Lakeland Theatre Co presented the funds raised for local children’s programs, John 3:16 C.A.R.E. in Littleton, Haliwa Saponi Tribal School in Holister and Lakeland Theatre Youth Workshop and Children’s programs in Littleton, during their Board of Director’s meeting last evening, April 19th.   

“Show Me The Love” musical review held Valentine weekend at Lakeland Theatre raised $3479 with the support of our community which was shared between the 3 groups.   


Presentations were made by Nancy Grueneich, Director of “Show Me The Love” to Sid Shearin John 3:16 C.A.R.E. Board Member; Steve Hyman, Teacher and mentor at Haliwa Saponi Tribal School; Marcy Keim, 2017 Young People’s workshop Director for the Lakeland Theatre Youth Workshop and Children’s programs.

Attention Lakeland Theatre goers, due to circumstances beyond our control “Sylvia” is cancelled for March 31st and April 1st.  In the place of “Sylvia” we will be doing (the play) “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare’s Abridged.”  “Complete Works’ is the hilarious show of all 37 plays of Shakespeare condensed into an hour and a half with 3 characters.  Those who saw the play with Daniel Dunlow, Wyatt Greer, and Daniel Gardner done at Lakeland’s Theatre several years ago will remember the hilarity surrounding the show.  If you like Shakespeare, you’ll love this show!  Come join the cast and find out why it was London’s longest running comedy.  Rate PG-13.  Please call Lakeland Theatre with questions. 252-586-3124 ext.3

Accepting Applications for Young People's Workshop -

We are now accepting applications for our 'Young People's Workshop' which will present "Peter Pan, Jr." The 4 week workshop will run June 19 through July 16 and is for young people ages 7-17. There is a limit of 35 participants, selected on a "First Come, First Serve" basis. Performances are scheduled for July 14, 15*, 16.
