It’s comedy night at Lakeland Theatre’s Cabaret featuring the Scottish comedian Mick McKenna. Before moving to the USA in 2000, Mick was a popular newspaper columnist in Scotland. Before life as a standup comedian, he was a regular commissioned writer for BBC radio and television. He wrote for various comedians including Craig Ferguson’s BBC TV series (Ferguson hosted “The Late Late Show on CBS for 10 years.) Mick wrote and performed in two sold out stage shows in Raleigh and Durham. Wanting to find a new way to embarrass his teenage children, he became a “clean” standup comedian in 2009. Mick will bring his sense of humor and Scottish accent to the Lakeland Cabaret for a comedy club night on Saturday, May 19th at 7:30. Looking for a great place for a date night or just to have some fun with friends, come join us at the cabaret.
Tickets for the show can be purchased by calling the box office at (252) 586-3124 ext.3 or on the Lakeland Theatre website at lakelandtheatrenc.org. Tickets are $20. Or $16 for Lakeland Members
