the Ambassadors raise money for the New York trip and other worthy
causes. Roses are on sale by the Ambassadors at every performance.
About
2 years ago some of our most active Lakeland Teenagers formed a group
called
The Lakeland Ambassadors.
This group is open to children from 12 to 21 who are active in the
theatre and who want to raise the level of their community service. The
Ambassadors are responsible for many wonderful projects around the
theatre. They sponsor the Theatre Club Workshops. They perform at
community events to promote Lakeland. They have become active in all
facets of the theatre. We are so proud of all of them. The Ambassadors
are responsible for the Broadway Bound Trip this summer. They are also
producing The Ambassador Showcase on January 24th.
As an
ongoing fundraising event, the Ambassadors sponsor Family Night. This
is the second Saturday of every show run. They work in the lounge, in
the box office and as Ushers. They also serve a $5 pizza and salad
buffet before the show. All profits from concessions and dinner this
night benefit this great group. In addition to the Cinderella
Family Night buffet at 6:30 on February 28th, we will have additional
pizza buffet. Cinderella will have a 2:30pm matinee as well as
an 8:00pm evening show on the final Saturday, March 7th. There will be
a buffet immediately following the first show and it will continue until
the house opens for the second show.
