we celebrate the best of the 2003 season with our version of the "Oscars". With
musical highlights from the past year of shows and a chance to recognize our many
volunteers, this is a grand evening to get "dressed up" and celebrate community
theater with the busiest theater in America. |

February 27, 28, March 5, 6, 7*, 12, and 13. Gypsy. This
is the ultimate story of an aggressive stage mother pushing her girls to the stardom she
was never able to obtain herself. After years of a mediocre act being booked and cancelled
throughout the country, One daughter, Louise, strikes out on her own as Gypsy Rose Lee, an
elegant stripper among the brassy burlesque. Memorable music numbers include Some People,
Everything’s Coming Up Roses, Together Wherever We Go, and You Gotta Get A Gimmick. |

March 26, 27, 28*, 31*, April 2, and 3. The Miracle
Worker. This is the stirring dramatization of the story of Helen Keller. Blind,
deaf and mute, nobody knows what Helen’s fate might have been had she not come under
the tutelage of Annie Sullivan. The Miracle Worker is based on the emotional relationship
between the lonely teacher and her difficult charge. Annie’s success with Helen comes only
after some of the most turbulent and emotion packed scenes ever presented on the stage. |

April 16, 17, 23, 24, 25*, 30, and May 1. Nunsense. Winner of
four Outer Critics Circle Awards including Best Off-Broadway Musical, Nunsense is a fundraiser
put on by the Little Sisters of Hoboken to raise money to bury sisters accidentally poisoned by
the convent cook, Sister Julia (Child of God). Described by the N.Y. Times as “Wacky and
outrageous with a hysterical anything-goes sense of fun.” Come prepared to laugh hard and
long. |

May 15th only. Lakeland Singers Spring Concert. On the
Saturday evening following Mother's Day, treat your special person with a performance by
the Lakeland Singers choral ensemble in tribute to mothers everywhere. |

May 21, 22, and 23*. An Evening With Larry Williams and
Friends. Larry Williams and a select group of friends will entertain and amuse
us with their singing and comic abilities. |

June 5th only. Julie's Taps and Tutus Spring Recital.
Established in 1995, Julie Harris Mason and her students show off their new skills for
a fun and enjoyable evening that has become a community tradition. |

June 18, 19, 25, 26, and 27*. Blithe Spirit. This farce
involves novelist Charles Condomine and his second wife, Ruth, who invite into their home
an eccentric lady medium to oversee a séance, not knowing the medium will summon back Charles’
first wife. The first wife has a ghostly plot in mind, which quickly turns Charles and Ruth’s
life upside down. Tremendously funny!! |

July 17 only. Young People’s Workshop. Around 35 young
people ages 11 to 18, will meet and workshop for two weeks ending with a performance on
Saturday July 17. It is truly amazing to see what our young people can accomplish in such
a short period of time. |

July, 23, 24, 30, 31, August 1*. Summer Musical Revue.
Julie Harris Mason and her wonderful cast and crew will entertain us for an evening of
music and delight. |

August 20, 21, 27, 28, and 29*. Alone Together. This is
the story of a middle-aged couple whose children have all finally left the nest. At last
they are “alone together” and then all three sons come charging back home and Mom and Dad
have quite a time pushing them back out again. You will roar with recognition, pleasure
and amusement. |

September 11th only. Comedy Night. Is "Whose Line Is
It Anyway?" one of your favorite shows? Meet us at Lakeland for a night of improvisational
hilarity as we tickle your funny bone for a good cause! |

October 8, 9, 15, 16, 17*, 22, and 23. My Fair Lady.
Colonel Pickering challenges Professor Henry Higgins to metamorphose the gutter snipe,
Eliza Doolittle, into a paragon of verbal correctitude. You will recognize a number of
musical pieces such as I Could Have Danced All Night, With A Little Bit Of Luck, The Rain
in Spain and Get Me To The Church on Time. |

October 30 only. A Masquerade Ball. This is the chance
of the year to dress up and join in the fun at Lakeland. If you are unsure what to wear,
Lakeland has costumes for rent, too. You may make an appointment early to go through and
select a costume from Lakeland’s 15,000-costume wardrobe. This is a Lakeland Fundraiser:

A Christmas Carol. Tremble with Scrooge at the sight of Marley’s ghost
and rejoice with him when he sees the error of his ways and take comfort from the good
spirits of Christmas who make everything right in the end. |

There's always music, great dancing and a generous dose of humor when Julie Harris Mason and
her students get together and "strut their stuff" at Christmas! Great costumes and guest
soloists are a part of this community event, and everyone is invited to share in the joy of
accomplishment with Julie and her students of all ages! |
