February 11: The L.O.V.E. Awards. It’s a great evening to dress up and attend our very own version of the “Oscars”, and watch Lakeland honor the very best of 2011, with a peek into 2012 as well. This is a great way to say “thank you” to all our wonderful performers, crew and volunteer workers who made 2011 so memorable!
The After Party: Join us after the L.O.V.E. Awards for a little dancing, celebrating, and some congratulatory drinks with the winners. The DJ will be spinning your favorite tunes and since you are already dressed in your finest, you are sure to impress your date on the dance floor.

February 17, 18, 24, 25, 26, March 2, 3: All Shook Up. Elvis Presley meets "Twelfth Night!"  Elvis fans, music fans, and theatre fans will love the great story and the great music from this Broadway smash inspired by and featuring the songs of Elvis Presley. Into a square little town in a square little state rides a guitar-playing roustabout who changes everything and everyone he meets in this hip-swiveling, lip-curling musical fantasy that'll have you jumpin' out of your blue suede shoes with such classics as "Heartbreak Hotel," "Jailhouse Rock," and "Don't Be Cruel."

March 10, 16, 17: Harrigan's Pub - The St. Patrick's Day Show. A three-year tradition continues as our own Irishman, Jim Hogan, leads a cast of talented singers, actors and dancers through the beloved March holiday celebrating everything Irish on the Lakeland stage!

March 31: The Great Big Lakeland Fundraiser. The Big Cheese says, “Don’t be a piker! Dig out your clams, all you flappers and sheiks and put on the ritz at the speakeasy” There will be giggle water and light hors d’oeuvres that will sure to be the bee’s knees. So get all dolled up in your favorite 20’s attire and head on down to the joint where the party will be the Cat’s Meow. And remember if any private dicks ask about this, tell him it’s none of his beeswax, we don’t want anybody getting pinched. Seats are limited to 250 guests, so get a wiggle on! (This show is not part of the Lakeland membership packages.)

April 27, 28, May 4, 5, 6: Charley's Aunt. Jack Chesney loves Kitty Verdun and Charley loves Miss Amy Spettigue. They invite the ladies to meet Charley's wealthy aunt from Brazil, "where the nuts come from." Cancelling her visit at the last minute, the millionaire aunt sends the boys into cataclysmic confusion. What do they do now? The problem is solved by drafting their feckless Oxford undergrad pal into a black satin skirt, bloomers and wig. As "Charley's Aunt", this charming frump is introduced to the ladies, to Jack's father and to Stephen Spettigue, Amy's guardian. When the real aunt turns up, classic comic confusion ensues! Come see the fun on stage as we present a classic comedy!

May 18, 19, 20, 25, 26: A Soldier's Look Back - A musical journey through the decades of Bob Hope's USO tours. This musical revue, just in time for Memorial Day, remembers the legendary Bob Hope and his unfailing service to our military personnel. Honor America and its selfless devotion to freedom by re-living and honoring the legacy of one of America’s great entertainers through the eyes of a soldier.

June 9: The Lakeland Singers Spring Concert. Old favorites, new arrangements, and meaningful, uplifting music are the hallmarks of a concert presented by the Lakeland Singers. Join us for this special evening.

June 22, 23, 24, 29, 30: The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged). All 37 of Shakespeare's plays, performed in 97 minutes, by three actors? Fast- paced, witty, and physical, this show is full of laughter for Shakespeare lovers and haters alike. Listen to what the critics say: “A mix of pratfalls, puns, willful mis-readings of names and dialogue, clunky female impersonations, clean-cut ribaldry, and broad burlesque, the gung-ho vitality is impossible to resist. Its tone recalls the fabled Bullwinkle cartoon shows.” “This irreverent deconstruction of Shakepeare's work makes a dilly of poor Willy. A fantasia of zany energy that throws together Monty Python-ish drag and Mel Brook-ish anything-for-alaugh gags.” “Fresh, energetic and funny. A wild and silly frolic.” Come see the funniest Shakespeare ever!

July 13, 14, 20, 21, 22: Disney's 101 Dalmations. A presentation of our Young Peoples Theatre Workshop. In a loving home in the city of London, Dalmatian parents, Pongo and Perdita happily raise their Dalmatian puppies, until the monstrous Cruella De Vil plots to steal them for her new fur coat! Join all the dogs of London, as they daringly rescue the puppies from Cruella and her bumbling henchmen. With a delightfully fun score, lovable characters, and one of the most deliciously evil villains in the Disney canon, this stage adaptation is certain to charm and delight all audiences. And with a highly expandable chorus, the stage could easily be filled with 101 performers to fit the bill!

August 3, 4, 10, 11, 12: Ree-Haw. Join us as we parody the fan favorite show that ran weekly from 1969 to 1997 with skits such as “Pickin and Grinnin”, “The Haystack” or “Pfft You was Gone”. This is a fun filled night of country singin, comedy sketches and good old down home entertainin. Now ya’ll remember, Littleton spelled backwards is Not-Elltil.

September 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 23: Footloose. One of the most explosive movie musicals in recent memory bursts onto the Lakeland stage! When Ren and his mother move from Chicago to a small farming town, Ren is prepared for the inevitable adjustment period at his new high school. What he isn't prepared for are the rigorous local edicts, including a ban on dancing instituted by the local preacher, determined to exercise the control over the town's youth that he cannot command in his own home. When the reverend's rebellious daughter sets her sights on Ren, her roughneck boyfriend tries to sabotage Ren's reputation, with many of the locals eager to believe the worst about the new kid. In the heartfelt story that emerges, Footloose celebrates the wisdom of listening to young people, guiding them with a warm heart and an open mind.

October 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 14: Anne of Green Gables. Green Gables is the home of lovable Matthew Cuthbert and his stern sister, Marilla. They agree to adopt a boy to help with the farm work. Imagine their consternation when Anne Shirley, a girl in her teens, is sent by the orphanage by mistake! Anne touches Matthew's heart with her vivid imagination and her charitable viewpoint, but it takes time to reach the tender heart beneath Marilla's hard exterior. Then there is young Josie Pye, a lad named Moody Spurgeon and Matthew, Anne's kindred spirit. This lovely classic, full of warmth and wit, will tickle your funny bone and warm your heart as well.

November 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 18: Little Shop of Horrors. A down-and-out skid row floral assistant becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving for fresh blood. Soon “Audrey II” grows into an ill-tempered, foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore who offers him fame and fortune in exchange for feeding its growing appetite, finally revealing itself to be an alien creature poised for global domination! Come see why this show is one of our most popular ever!

December 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 16, 21, 22: A Christmas Carol. This is Bill O’Neill’s adaptation of the holiday classic, last performed at Lakeland in 2004. This is the last play written by our friend Bill and is dedicated to his memory. A true holiday classic. This show has it all. Come be whisked away into the world of Charles Dickens in this dark but heart warming tale of redemption.

December 15: The Lakeland Singers Christmas Concert. The holiday concert that our members look forward to every year returns with a mix of old favorites and a spicy variety of new Yule tunes that will have you cheering and singing along! Happy Holidays!
